Recently we have been working with another big residential property client, Gentoo, based up in the North East. 360imagery were chosen to create the virtual tours, by their marketing agency, based on the high quality, interactivity and attention to detail of our tours, and of course value for money! It's great to stand out from our competitors.

This particular project was to create a tour of a 2-bed show apartment on the River Quarter development in Sunderland. We worked our 360imagery magic, and think you'll agree the end result shows off this stunning apartment at its very best.

This virtual tour, as is standard for all of our work, has all the whistles and bells to make it a truly interactive experience for the viewer. The tour is navigated using navigational arrows, thumbnails and an interactive floor plan with scene markers. The Graphic User Interface (GUI) is all bespoke designed around the client logo and colour sways, meaning the end result blends perfectly into the clients existing website. We use HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography techniques, the tour is optimised to run full screen in high definition whilst downloading seamlessly, and it is published in Flash, HTML5 and CS3 for viewing on all current platforms.

 A Unique 'Before and After' 360imagery Virtual Tour...

360imagery 'before and after' Virtual Tour for F & B Facades

 

At 360imagery, we find ourselves creating 360 virtual tours all sorts of things, especially as more and more people recognise the marketing potential of one of our stunning tours on their website. It's why we love our job!

This particular client, D & B Facades, wanted a unique 'before and after' 360imagery virtual tour to showcase their over-cladding work. D & B Facades are one of the UK's leading design and build over-cladding specialists. This technique dramatically transforms an old looking, tired building ( in this case a 1960's concrete college building) into something modern and new - at a fraction of the cost of a new build. 

The idea of the project was to have one virtual tour where, as the scene moves round, the image gradually transforms from the old to the new, right in front of the viewer's eyes. It's a fantastic way to give the end resulting building a massive impact, and it could work for any development or refurbishment project.

360imagery were on site before any works commenced, to capture the 'before' photography. To create a really stunning impact to the whole scene we shot the single 360-degree panorama from 8 metres in the air. Then, 12 months and a 'touch' of over-cladding later, we returned to site and shot a further panorama from the exact same position. Back at the office, Stuart set to work stitching the images together to create a seamless transition between the 'before' and 'after' panoramas. The client was delighted with the end result and as you can see by clicking here, it blends perfectly into their existing website and really gives it some life.

To optimise the benefits of the interactivity of a virtual tour, over any other marketing medium, we also incorporated text slides within the tour to provide information about the works carried out. Here at 360imagery, we are getting an ever-increasing number of enquiries from Universities, Schools and Academies for 360 Virtual Tours. A 360imagery Virtual Tour is a fantastic marketing tool for any building, location or venue and especially within the genre of Education. It means potential students can 'visit' 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it serves as a highly interactive online prospectus to attract new UK-based and international students.

This particular tour was to show off all the fantastic sports facilities, both on and off campus, provided by Exeter University. Other work we have done for colleges etc have included student accommodation, lecture halls, libraries, museums and conference rooms. A Virtual Tour really can be used for just about anything!

This was a huge tour, comprising 29 scenes, cleverly incorporating both the indoor and outdoor on-site facilities, as well as those off-site, all into one Virtual Tour. There are drop-down menus for each individual site, and then navigational arrows that enable you to take a 'virtual walk' around each site. Many of the scenes are photographed using our unique low-level mast equipment, capable of shooting 360-degree scenes from up to 8 metres. As you will see, this is perfect for indoor and outdoor football and MUGA pitches, tennis courts, sports halls etc. - really showing them off at their best (which is what it's all about!).

As is standard with all our work, we have bespoke designed the Graphic User Interface (GUI) around Exeter University Sport Logo and colour sway. The end result being a highly interactive Virtual Tour that blends perfectly into their existing website. Exeter University were so pleased with our work that we've since been back to shoot a few more scenes for them!

Looking back to 2014, it was a very busy year for 360imagery working with new clients.

Amongst some of the 'bigger' names, we won the tender to create tours for the Mayor of London/Greater London Authority - to catch up on this check out the Blog by clicking here. Then in June, we were really proud to win the competitive tender process to become the preferred supplier of 360 virtual tours to the Welsh Government. We really pride ourselves on the quality of our work, all of our tours being bespoke designed and fully undertaken in-house. It's fantastic that clients recognise not only this, but also the affordability and cost-effectiveness of a 360imagery Virtual Tour. The first project we undertook for the Welsh Government was to create one of our stunning Virtual Tours of the new Life Sciences Hub in Cardiff, on behalf of the Business Wales team. As with the majority of our work, we begin this tour with two external mast scenes taken from 8 metres high, using a specialist technique developed in-house. We find this gives a real 'WOW' factor to the opening scene as it lifts the viewers eye to above any street furniture or vehicles. It shows the building off from a great impact angle.

Using High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography techniques, with the latest Canon camera equipment, we ensure that the lightest and darkest areas of the image are evened out so you will never see 'blown out' or glaring bright windows, or loss of detail.

This was a fairly large tour comprising 16 scenes, navigated as a 'walk-through' experience with the aid of navigational arrows, thumbnails and an interactive floor plan. As with all of our work, we bespoke design the Graphic User Interface to blend perfectly in to the existing website of the client. In this case we had to create 2 versions - one in English, the other in Welsh!

Spitfire build luxury, stunning and individually designed houses. This show home is a 6 bedroom, 3-storey building known as the Claret. This was a fairly big job for us with the tour comprising 21 scenes, with navigation arrows to guide the viewer around the house, thumbnails and floor plans with interactive scene markers.
