360imagery Virtual Tour of Jubilee House for the Fire Fighter's Charity
360imagery were very proud to be chosen to work with The Fire Fighter's Charity, a Trust that provides recuperation and physical rehabilitation centres throughout the UK. Check out their website at www.firefighterscharity.org.uk to find out more about the fantastic work they do.
We created three virtual tours, all fairly complex and interactive, of their various centres: Jubilee House in Penrith, Harcombe House in Devon and Marine Court in Littlehampton. The Digital Marketing Officer at the Trust had previously used one of our competitors to create virtual tours, and so was familiar with the technology, as well as appreciating what a fantastic marketing tool a tour can be. However, when it came to value for money for their budget, combined with the highest quality, bespoke end result, they looked no further than 360imagery, awarding us the tender.
As a relatively small company, we keep every element of the virtual tour in-house - from the initial photography, to graphic design and programming, to the stunning end result. It means we pride ourselves on the quality of the work at each stage, and are able to create a completely bespoke tour incorporating just about anything the client wants. Without the overheads of involving 3rd parties it also means that we keep our pricing very competitive.
We shot the 77 panoramic scenes at the 3 centres over 2 days, involving a fairly intensive 800 mile round trip! The project began with a flying visit to the Lake District, home to the newest of the Charity's centres, Jubilee House. This centre is situated within 10 acres of grounds in the picturesque village of Eamont Bridge, one mile from the historic town of Penrith.

This virtual tour, as is standard for all of our work, has all the whistles and bells to make it a truly interactive experience for the viewer. The tour is navigated using navigational arrows and thumbnails, and there are many pop-up text boxes giving more details as necessary. The Graphic User Interface (GUI) is all bespoke designed around the client logo and colour sways, meaning the end result blends perfectly into the clients existing website. We use HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography techniques, the tour is optimised to run full screen in high definition whilst downloading seamlessly, and it is published in Flash, HTML5 and CS3 for viewing on all current platforms.
